Shipping, Duties & Taxes (EU Customers)
For EU Customers
Thank you very much for shopping with KASHIKO.
This page provides information about customs duties, taxes, and fees that may apply when importing products into the European Union (EU).
Shipping Fees
Shipping costs for EU orders are not included in KASHIKO product prices. Depending on your country or region, VAT, customs duties, and other import-related fees may be charged upon delivery.
Customs Duties and Taxes
For low-value imported goods under €150, the following systems may apply in the EU:
EU-wide: Temporary flat-rate customs duty
From July 1, 2026: €3 per HS code/product category.
France: Low-value import parcel fee
From March 1, 2026: €2 per HS code/product category.
VAT
VAT is charged upon import in EU countries. The applicable VAT rate differs by country.
Important Notes When Ordering
These fees are calculated based on the number of product categories/HS codes, not the number of items.
Example:
3 notebooks → treated as 1 category → additional fee: up to €5
Notebook + furoshiki + bookmark → treated as 3 categories → additional fee: up to €15
Payment Responsibility
The following costs are the responsibility of the customer:
Customs duties
VAT
Temporary flat-rate customs duties
Additional local fees, where applicable
These costs are not included in the product price and may be charged by customs authorities or the delivery carrier upon delivery.
Background
These systems were introduced in response to the increase in small parcels imported from outside the EU, in order to maintain fair market conditions.
