A maneki-neko surrounded by flowers, inviting happiness.
This original KASHIKO furoshiki features a maneki-neko surrounded by flowers, illustrated by Kutani porcelain artist Satomi Kawada.
Drawing on the traditional hanazume style—where floral motifs densely fill the surface—the design is expressed with both boldness and delicacy, delivering a sense of happiness and graceful beauty in a single piece.
Each furoshiki is hand-dyed one by one by skilled artisans using traditional katazome (stencil dyeing) techniques in a wooden workshop in Kyoto that has stood for over 110 years.
More than ten individual stencils are layered to complete the design.
The refined beauty of Kutani porcelain painting and the craftsmanship of Japanese dyeing come together to create an elegant and dignified furoshiki.
