This is a 70cm furoshiki. Based on an existing kimono called "Kabira Tamako Irodori Mitate Tori Tsuta Moyo" (pattern of birds and ivy), this design adds the unique expression "mitate" that was popular in the Edo period, which likens something to something else. The design is based on the Tokugawa family's symbol, the hollyhock, which means to gain a lot of happiness, and the thousand birds, which are symbols of luck and fertility, are depicted transforming from bamboo to swallows and flying away, and the transformation is imbued with the meaning of winning the opportunity to win.
